Tour Overview

This evening paddleboard tour offers a unique way to experience Split's coastline and nearby river after sunset, combining the calm of night paddling with illuminated boards that light up the water beneath you. You will meet at a central location in Split, then be transferred by van to Stobreč campsite beach, away from the busy Split center. Here you will receive basic SUP instruction from a certified trainer, get familiar with the equipment, and receive a safety briefing before setting out on the water.

As evening approaches and the ambiance becomes quiet, you will grab your illuminated paddleboard and paddle in the sea as night falls. The LED lights on the bottom of your board will illuminate everything beneath you, creating a magical effect. Soon you will see white rocks and cliffs where locals have built their traditional houses, gliding past these coastal features with the board's light revealing the underwater landscape.

After paddling on the sea, you will glide up and down the river with stars above and light beneath you revealing wildlife. The proprietary LED lamps, which are among the brightest available, combined with the river and sea, will give you the best glow experience whether you are a first timer or an experienced paddleboarder. Sometimes during low season when the sea is calm and the river quite cold, the tour may take a special route embracing the open sea instead. After about 1.5 hours of guided paddling, you will return to the starting point and be transferred back to Split.

Typical Itinerary

1. Meeting point in Split - Meet at Prilaz Braće Kaliterna 1, opposite Hotel Briig, where a gray van covered in paddleboard stickers or a white Peugeot Traveller will pick you up.
2. Van transfer to Stobreč - Travel by van for about 20 minutes to Stobreč campsite beach, away from the busy Split center, where the paddleboarding portion begins.
3. Walk to campsite beach - Walk for about 5 minutes from the van drop off point to the campsite beach where SUP boards and equipment are prepared.
4. Safety briefing and SUP instruction - Receive a 15 minute safety briefing and basic SUP instruction from a certified trainer, getting familiar with the illuminated boards, paddling techniques, and safety procedures.
5. Evening sea paddling - Set out on illuminated SUP boards as evening approaches, paddling in the sea as night falls and the LED lights beneath your board begin to illuminate the underwater world.
6. Coastal exploration - Paddle along the coastline, seeing white rocks and cliffs where locals have built their traditional houses, with the board's light revealing the seabed beneath you.
7. River paddling - Glide up and down the river with stars above and light beneath you revealing wildlife, experiencing a completely new perspective on the underwater landscape.
